The mechanical engineering program places its primary emphasis on imparting experiment knowledge to the students with a  scientific bend to mind and urge to understand the modern progress in the mechanical field. This program is also designed to motivate the students ot meet the challenges of other related fields such as Mechatronics  and computer aided design and manufacturing (CAD / CAM, Robotics) with a wide based knowledge in the design & problem solving aspects. In this course necessary and sufficient training is provided to the students through projects to develop their practical skills in the college atmosphere itself. This program also has an objective to provide an expanded range of coverage necessary in the basic courses likely to have their impact in the mechanical filed to ensure that the students comprehend the fundamentals concepts before they tackle the advanced and complex situation

                                        The department has the following different laboratories, which are well maintained and well equipped with state – of – the art facility such as Basic workshop , Special machines Shop, Lathe , Dynamics Lab, IC Engines & Automobile Lab, Engineering Mechanics Lab, Specialized CAD / CAM Lab with Design and Manufacturing Software like AUTOCAD 2004, solid works 2000, Pro-E(Wildfire), I-DEAS, CATIA V-5.0, Analysis software like ANSYS 9.0 and Other Simulation software like CNC turn, CNC Mill are Available.
